ACTUATOR TYPE: Subsea

Removal Systems

CLAMP ROV RETRIEVABLE SYSTEM

MAIN FEATURES:

  • Coupling between spool piece and operator guaranteed by a clamp system
  • Clamp arms operated from unlocked to locked position and vice versa by ROV override
  • Misalignment prevention between operator and spool piece guaranteed by a reference key on clamp system
  • Automatic clutch for removal and reinstallation on the valve apart from valve position
  • Clutch spool equipped with relief valve acting as overpressure venting device and accumulator acting as pressure compensation device
  • Seawater resistant materials for all exposed parts
PERMANENT SPOOL
  • Easily externally adjustable stops for perfect valve bore alignment
  • Misalignment prevention between clamp and spool piece guaranteed by a reference groove on permanent spool
  • Centring pin for easy alignment with clamp clutchStem teeth design including lateral slope angle to ease and smooth the disengagement operation
  • Equipped with relief valve acting as overpressure venting device and accumulator acting as pressure compensation device
  • Seawater resistant materials for all exposed parts
  • Additional port for spool cavity flushing and filling with compensation oil
CLAMP INSTALLATION SEQUENCE
  • Actuator can be removed and reinstalled on the valve with a simple operation on ROV interface, independently from valve position
  • Actuator self engages after subsea installation and automatically matches valve stem after first operation
  • During the first operation of the actuator, the clutch stem on actuator rotates independently from the clutch stem on spool until teeth and slots on the two pieces are aligned
  • As soon as teeth and slots are aligned, the clutch spring pushes the clutch stem on actuator and it engages with the clutch stem on spool
  • When the clutch stem is engaging with valve stem, the engagement indicator arrow moves from U (unlocked) letter to L (locked) letter
